Progress

I need progress.  If I don't see results, I lose interest...in just about everything.  Generally when I start seeing results, I can stick with whatever it is I am working on.  I started going to the gym on December 29th and started really watching calories on New Years Day.  I use the My Fitness Pal app on my phone to log workouts, food, water, etc.  As of January 10th, I have lost 5 pounds!  I'm not gonna lie, I have been working HARD.  I have been doing personal training with weights, taking interval training classes, doing Zumba and Jillian Michaels DVDs for an hour or so AT LEAST 5 days each week.  I've also been taking in no more than 1500 calories a day.  I really haven't been hungry and my cravings have really decreased (thank goodness).  Sleep is an issue.  I usually get between 4 and 6 hours of sleep a night.  I know that lack of sleep can contribute to weight gain so this is something I need to work on.


What has helped:

  •  Friends that know my goals and keep me on track
  • A personal trainer who isn't afraid to push me and keep me accountable
  • The My Fitness Pal app
  • Seeing Results
  • Not having junk food in the house
